Aquinas Academy is 7-0 against Leechburg since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Aquinas Academy Crusaders are taking a road trip to challenge the Leechburg Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. Leechburg took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Aquinas Academy, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Aquinas Academy didn't have too much trouble with St. Joseph as they won 50-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Aquinas Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elliot Keverline, who posted 11 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tess Duer, who put up 13 points and four steals.

Aquinas Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Leechburg was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. The contest between them and Western Beaver didn't end well, with Leechburg falling 48-31. The Blue Devils were down 40-17 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Aquinas Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.8 points per game. As for Leechburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Aquinas Academy against Leechburg when the teams last played back in February of 2022, as the squad secured a 46-9 victory. In that game, Aquinas Academy amassed a halftime lead of 32-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
