Soccer Game Preview: Environmental Charter vs. Animo City of Champions

The Environmental Charter White Tigers will challenge the Animo City of Champions Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Environmental Charter has three straight victories, Animo City of Champions has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Animo City of Champions better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Environmental Charter really get things going. Environmental Charter never let Ambassador onto the board and left with a 3-0 win on Thursday. The White Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Ambassador with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alivia Armijo, Sophia Martinez, and Kaitlynn Rios.

Meanwhile, Animo City of Champions fell victim to Compton Early College and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 6-0 to the Rising Phoenix.

Animo City of Champions' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Environmental Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Environmental Charter took their win against Animo City of Champions in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Environmental Charter since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
