Baseball Recap: Brentwood Takes a Loss

Brentwood lost against John Milledge Academy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Brentwood War Eagles lost 8-2 to the John Milledge Academy Trojans. The War Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riley Helton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of JW Hitchcock, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base.

Brentwood's record now sits at 6-4. As for John Milledge Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brentwood will take on Edmund Burke Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edmund Burke Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Brentwood surely won't give up without a fight. As for John Milledge Academy, they will face off against Strong Rock Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. John Milledge Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Strong Rock Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
