Softball Recap: St. Clair Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for St. Clair's offense. They came up short against the St. Francis Borgia Knights on Wednesday, falling 18-0. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

St. Clair dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for St. Francis Borgia, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Coming up, St. Clair will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Sullivan at 4:30 p.m. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Francis Borgia, they will take on St. Dominic at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 2.5, the Crusaders 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
