Basketball Game Preview: Silver Valley Trojans vs. Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy

The Silver Valley Trojans will head out to face off against Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Silver Valley has four straight wins, Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Silver Valley will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Riverside Prep, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Silver Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Riverside Prep on Friday, sneaking past 49-47.

Meanwhile, Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy came up short against Academy for Academic Excellence on Tuesday and fell 57-46.

Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Silver Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.

Everything came up roses for Silver Valley against Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy when the teams last played on January 7th, as the squad secured a 57-18 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Silver Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
