Meanwhile, McCook entered their tilt with St. Cecilia on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They won by a run and slipped past the Bluehawks 10-9. McCook's victory was all the more impressive since the Bluehawks were averaging only four runs allowed on the season.
Dani Johnson was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Roslyn Wiemers, who went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.
She wasn't the only one working in the home runs department: McCook lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in September of 2023.
Alliance's defeat dropped their record down to 9-23. As for McCook, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-6.
