Soccer Recap: Avon Lake Plays to a Tie

For the first time this season, Avon Lake was forced to settle for a draw. They and the Revere Minutemen finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Saturday. The outcome might've been different if Luke Bellenir hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Avon Lake's draw gives them a new season record of 8-0-1. As for Revere, they moved theirs to 4-2-3.

Avon Lake wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Olmsted Falls on the 17th. As for Revere, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Tallmadge on the 16th.
