Softball Recap: Lithonia Bulldogs vs. Redan Raiders
Lithonia had lost seven straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 4-13 to make it eight. They fell just short of the Redan Raiders by a score of 16-15. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-12 back in August.
Nifemi Jayeoba made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Kayla Washington, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases and two runs.
As for Redan, they moved to 6-6 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 10, 2024.
