You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Piedmont's strategy against Castro Valley on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Piedmont Highlanders blew the Castro Valley Trojans out of the water with a 72-26 final score. The Highlanders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Castro Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Naomi Chew, who posted nine points and three steals, and Victoria Feliciano, who scored nine points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Feliciano a new career-high in steals.

Piedmont is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. As for Castro Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Looking ahead, Piedmont will head out to face off against Cardinal Newman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cardinal Newman comes in on 16 and Piedmont on seven. Castro Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
