Softball Game Preview: Clinton Red Tornadoes vs. El Reno Indians

The Clinton Red Tornadoes will challenge the El Reno Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Clinton fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Cheyenne/Reydon on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 4-3. The Red Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newcastle hit El Reno with a five-run sixth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians came up short against the Racers, falling 13-5. The Indians have struggled against the Racers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Brailynn Vickery made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for El Reno, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.
