Softball Recap: Preston Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Preston got themselves on the board against Inola on Saturday, but Inola never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Longhorns with a sharp 9-0 win. Considering the Pirates have won seven matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Preston is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Inola, they moved to 9-10 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Preston has already played their next game (against Tonkawa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Inola, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Davenport on the 13th.
