Basketball Recap: Carver High School of Engineering & Science Comes Up Short

If Carver High School of Engineering & Science was riding high fresh off their 51-24 takedown of Martin Luther King last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Carver High School of Engineering & Science had to suffer through an 82-23 loss at the hands of Audenried. Carver High School of Engineering & Science has struggled against Audenried recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, Carver High School of Engineering & Science had strong showings from Desiray Zepp, who posted nine points, and Savannah Hall, who earned seven points.

Shayla Smith was her usual excellent self, putting up 48 points for Audenried. Smith's afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leeasia Chance, who had eight points.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Audenried, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-7.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Audenried, they will challenge Freire Charter at 6:00 p.m. on February 20th. Audenried is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.6 points per game this season.
