Football Recap: Shenango Wildcats vs. Laurel Spartans
Shenango fell victim to Laurel and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Spartans. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Laurel had a senior duo take command as Nathan Hill rushed for 64 yards and three TDs and Kolton Carlson gained 81 total yards and two touchdowns. Those three rushing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Hill.
Shenango's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Laurel, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shenango will take on Fort Cherry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
