Softball Recap: Troup County Tigers vs. Mary Persons Bulldogs
Troup County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 9-1 to the Mary Persons Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 back in August.
Troup County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Damron, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Troup County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Mary Persons, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
Coming up, Troup County will head out on the road to challenge Fayette County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mary Persons, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Academy for Classical Education at 6:30 p.m.
