Football Recap: Trinity Academy Knights vs. Hesston Swathers
Trinity Academy dropped down to 3-3 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the Hesston Swathers and fell 66-34. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 55-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Yamnoel Oyola, who rushed for 83 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries, and also caught one touchdown. Korie Murphy also helped out with an impressive 143 receiving yards.
As for Hesston, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1. Considering they have won five matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Hesston got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Blayne Wilson out in front who rushed for 200 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per carry. Those 200 rushing yards gave Wilson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerick Humphreys, who threw for 250 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
Looking ahead, Trinity Academy will face off against Andale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Hesston, they will challenge Riley County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Swathers will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.83 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
