Preview: Paloma Valley Wildcats vs. Elsinore Tigers

Paloma Valley is 8-2 against Elsinore since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Paloma Valley Wildcats will be staying on the road to face off against the Elsinore Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on November 28th. Hopefully Paloma Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Saturday.

Paloma Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 22 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 49-27 margin over Hesperia Christian.

Ashlee Medrano was her usual excellent self, scoring 34 points along with 5 steals. The game was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mianna Bravo, who scored 0 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.

Meanwhile, Elsinore unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were the victim of a tough 48-26 defeat at the hands of Palm Desert.

The losing side was boosted by Ashirah Washington-Williams, who scored 8 points along with 5 steals. Washington-Williams is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jaz Fowler, who scored 2 points along with 12 rebounds.

Their wins bumped Paloma Valley to 4-1 and Hesperia Christian to 2-1.

This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Paloma Valley hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 52.4 points per game. It's a different story for Elsinore, though, as they've been averaging only 42 per game. The only thing between Paloma Valley and another offensive beatdown is Elsinore. Will they be able to keep them contained?

Everything came up roses for Paloma Valley against Elsinore in their previous matchup back in February of 2020 as the squad secured a 55-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Paloma Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
