Softball Recap: George Walton Academy Takes a Loss

George Walton Academy fell victim to Southwest Georgia Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 11-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

George Walton Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4. As for Southwest Georgia Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

George Walton Academy will face off against Loganville Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Southwest Georgia Academy, they will challenge Stratford Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
