Football Recap: El Camino Takes a Loss + How To Watch

El Camino managed to keep up with Vista Murrieta until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Wildcats came up short against the Broncos, falling 38-12. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Broncos are ranked 24th).

When it comes to explaining why El Camino lost, don't look at Gavin Wasserman. Despite the final result, he threw for 128 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 33 yards.

Vista Murrieta had a senior duo take command as Bryson Beaver threw for 220 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Aiden Williams rushed for 89 yards and two scores. Damarii Booth helped out on the ground, rushing for 89 yards.

El Camino now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Vista Murrieta, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, El Camino will square off against Poway at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' defense better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 28.6 points per game this season. As for Vista Murrieta, they will take on Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos will be up against the Pumas' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
