Pepperell entered their tilt with Darlington on Friday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Tigers. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 14-4 win on Friday.

Cooper Middleton made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madoc Garcia, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Hunter Godfrey was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Pepperell's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Darlington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

As for Darlington, they will challenge Haralson County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Haralson County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.22 runs per game on average), something Darlington will no doubt try to take advantage of.
