Basketball Recap: Design Tech's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

KIPP San Jose Collegiate came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Design Tech, but Jewel Wilson wouldn't allow it. The Design Tech Dragons claimed a resounding 58-22 victory over the KIPP San Jose Collegiate Wolfpack thanks in part to Wilson, who went 11 of 24 on her way to 29 points and eight rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Design Tech's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Vanessa Chow, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. That's the most points she has posted since back in January.

The win made it two in a row for Design Tech and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for KIPP San Jose Collegiate, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

The future could be bright for both Design Tech and KIPP San Jose Collegiate: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Design Tech will try to hand Averroes their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:20 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Similarly, KIPP San Jose Collegiate will try to hand The Nueva School their sixth-straight loss when the two meet at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
