Preview: Soquel vs. Scotts Valley
Soquel has been on the road for five straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Scotts Valley Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Soquel had just enough and edged Harbor out 2-1. The victory was just what Soquel needed coming off of a 4-0 defeat in their prior match.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Trinity Wilson and
Julia Inkles, who scored both of Soquel's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 14 so far this season.
Meanwhile, Scotts Valley kept a clean sheet against San Lorenzo Valley on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cougars. Two seems to be a good number for Scotts Valley as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
Soquel has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6-1 record this season. As for Scotts Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6-1.
