Soccer Recap: Santana Takes a Loss

Santana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Granite Hills Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Sultans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 867th, while the Eagles are ranked 67th).

Santana's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Granite Hills, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santana will square off against El Capitan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Granite Hills, they will take on West Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
