Baseball Recap: Commerce Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Commerce's offense. They came up short against the Providence Christian Academy Storm on Friday, falling 10-0. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Storm recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Commerce's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Providence Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Commerce is set to challenge their familiar foe Athens Academy at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Providence Christian Academy will take on rival Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Providence Christian Academy's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home while Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
