Soccer Game Preview: Bloomfield vs. Aztec

The Bloomfield Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Aztec Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bloomfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.

Bloomfield barely beat Kirtland Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bobcats blew past the Broncos 6-2 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for Bloomfield in their matchups with Kirtland Central: they've now won four in a row.

Bloomfield's offense was hitting Kirtland Central from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Maliah Goins led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Aztec and Miyamura had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Tigers fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for Aztec in their meetings with Miyamura: they've now lost three in a row.

Bloomfield's win bumped their record up to 9-5-1. As for Aztec, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
