Basketball Recap: Central Bucks East Comes Up Short

Central Bucks East and Perkiomen Valley squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Central Bucks East had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Perkiomen Valley Vikings 54-27. The contest marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Perkiomen Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Quinn BOETTINGER out in front who posted 18 points. BOETTINGER's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Grace GALBAVY, who scored 14 points.

Central Bucks East's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for Perkiomen Valley, they pushed their record up to 24-3 with the victory, which was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Central Bucks East will welcome Lansdale Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Perkiomen Valley, they will challenge Garnet Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Garnet Valley will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something Perkiomen Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
