There's no place like home for Bishop Hartley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the St. Charles Cardinals 40-7 on Friday. That looming 40-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hawks yet this season.

Robert Lathon produced another solid performance picking up 124 receiving yards and two scores, while also rushing for 58 yards and one TD on only five carries. Another player making a difference was Mathew Galich, who threw for 247 yards and one touchdown.

Bishop Hartley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Laron Gaulden and Marcus Hemphill. Gaulden is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Hemphill got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Bishop Hartley's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 36.8 points this season. As for St. Charles, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Bishop Hartley is taking a road trip to face off against Walsh Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' defense has only allowed 7.5 points per game this season, so the Hawks' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for St. Charles, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Dublin Scioto at 7:00 p.m. The Cardinals are facing the Irish at the right time seeing as the Irish are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
