Soccer Game Preview: San Francisco Waldorf vs. Contra Costa Christian

San Francisco Waldorf hasn't had much luck against Contra Costa Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wolverines will challenge the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

San Francisco Waldorf came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Holy Names.

Meanwhile, Contra Costa Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch back in March as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Holy Names. That's two games in a row now that Contra Costa Christian have lost by just one goal.

Contra Costa Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for San Francisco Waldorf, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

San Francisco Waldorf skirted past Contra Costa Christian 2-1 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
