Softball Recap: Newnan Drops Highest Score of Season Against Lovejoy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newnan). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lovejoy Wildcats a 15-0 shutout on Thursday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

CA Moss looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in September of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Khloe Walker, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Riley Gray, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Newnan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lovejoy only posted an OBP of .000.
