Fayette has gone a perfect 7-0 against Glasgow recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Falcons will face off against the Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Fayette took an 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Salisbury, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Falcons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers on Tuesday, sneaking past 11-9. The victory was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won four games in a row.
Payton Kindle spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and eight unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grecyn Syferd and Leah Thies did most of the damage at the plate: Syferd went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Thies went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two hits gave Thies a new career-high. Paige Vroman also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Fayette kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glasgow). They blew past Tina-Avalon 17-1 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won four in a row.
Brooklynn Morris was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Morris was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kenley Strodtman was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Riley Olendorff was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Fayette's record now sits at 8-6. As for Glasgow, their record is now 8-3.
Everything went Fayette's way against Glasgow in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Fayette made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
