It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but South Oldham ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Simon Kenton Pioneers. The victory continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Luke Belardo, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

South Oldham's win bumped their record up to 25-8-1. As for Simon Kenton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-11.
