Baseball Game Preview: Spalding Jaguars vs. Fayette County Tigers

For the second straight game, Spalding will face off against Fayette County. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Spalding Jaguars duke it out with Fayette County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering Spalding has lost three straight at home and Fayette County six straight on the road, this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.

Spalding is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Fayette County 18-3 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Jaguars as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Spalding got a massive performance out of Tyler Ball, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs Ball has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Clerk, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and five RBI.

Spalding was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .655. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive contests.

Spalding's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Fayette County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
