Softball Recap: Putnam County Midgets vs. Highland Cougars

Putnam County extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 6-11. They came up short against the Highland Cougars, falling 9-3. The Midgets were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Rory Gilworth spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and eight unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
