Mid-Buchanan and Lafayette are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2016, but likely not for long. The Dragons will host the Fighting Irish at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mid-Buchanan is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Missouri's top teams: Rock Bridge, who was ranked first at the time (Mid-Buchanan was ranked eighth). The Dragons lost 17-7 to the Bruins on Friday.

Meanwhile, Lafayette unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Oak Grove back in August, falling 11-4. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Mid-Buchanan's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Lafayette, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
