Basketball Recap: Ephrata Mennonite Takes a Loss

The Ephrata Mennonite Legends came up short against the Lancaster County Christian Lions on Friday, falling 50-30. The Legends have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Alicia Fisher, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds for Lancaster County Christian. That makes it six consecutive games in which Fisher has scored at least a third of Lancaster County Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Rowan Shea, who posted eight points and five steals.

Ephrata Mennonite's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lancaster County Christian, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ephrata Mennonite will venture away from home to face off against Conestoga Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Conestoga Christian's defense has only allowed 28.3 points per game this season, so Ephrata Mennonite's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Lancaster County Christian, they will head out to square off against Linville Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
