            Volleyball Recap: Hortonville Polar Bears vs. Oshkosh West Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Appleton West  last Thursday, Hortonville came back down to earth. The Polar Bears came up short against  the Oshkosh West Wildcats on Tuesday, falling  3-0. If the Polar Bears were looking for revenge after losing  3-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
 Hortonville was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the  first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-12,  25-16.
 Cami Head paced Hortonville's offense, picking up six kills. Head got some help from  Aubrey Tank and her eight assists.  Avery Hietpas controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Hortonville's loss  ended  a  three-match streak of away wins  and  brought them to 15-13. As for Oshkosh West, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hortonville is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Kaukauna  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Oshkosh West will  face off against  rival Oshkosh North  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
