Volleyball Recap: Enterprise Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Enterprise can now relate to. They came up short against the McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

Their offense was headlined by Monika Howard and Anslee Milliner, who picked up five kills apiece. Milliner really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 12.

McGill-Toolen's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Payton Mcclarren, who had seven digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Bella Smith, who had four digs and three aces.

Enterprise moved to 26-14 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for McGill-Toolen, the win (which was their 37th in a row) raised their record to 43-2.

Enterprise wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against St. Paul's Episcopal on the 23rd. As for McGill-Toolen, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Bayside Academy on the 23rd.
