Softball Recap: Johns Creek Comes Up Short

Johns Creek made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Roswell, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Gladiators fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. The Gladiators haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Johns Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Lafon, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Johns Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Roswell, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Johns Creek will face off against Chattahoochee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.57 runs per game on average), something the Gladiators will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Roswell, they will challenge Lanier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Longhorns have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
