Recap: Wyalusing Valley Rams vs. North Penn-Mansfield Tigers
The Wyalusing Valley Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of North Penn-Mansfield by a score of 36-33. The match was a 15-15 toss-up at halftime, but Wyalusing Valley was outscored by North Penn-Mansfield in the second.
North Penn-Mansfield was led to victory by Kameron Lightner and McKenna Lightner. Lightner scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Lightner dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Lightner continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Wyalusing Valley has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for North Penn-Mansfield, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5.
Wyalusing Valley will head out on the road to square off against Northeast Bradford at 7:30 a.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Northeast Bradford is ranked 387th, while Wyalusing Valley is ranked 391st). As for North Penn-Mansfield, they will be playing at home against Towanda at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
