Volleyball Recap: Jocelyn Izoteco-Lopez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Monroe over Victory Christian Center + How To Watch

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Victory Christian Center Kings. The Redhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Kings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Monroe started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-20, 25-17, 25-19.

Several Redhawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jocelyn Izoteco-Lopez, who had nine digs and two assists. Sade' Robinson was another key player, getting seven aces.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Monroe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Parkwood on the 19th. As for Victory Christian Center, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Gaston Christian on the 19th.
