Basketball Recap: Manual Arts Takes a Loss

Manual Arts lost against Diego Rivera back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Manual Arts Toilers fell 34-22 to the Diego Rivera Huskies.

Diego Rivera was led to victory by Desiree Aguillon and Brianna Collins. Aguillon posted 16 points along with five boards and five steals, while Collins had 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and eight steals. Collins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 37 games she's played dating back to last season. Adriana Munoz was another key player, putting up two points along with eight rebounds, three steals, and three blocks.

Manual Arts' defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Diego Rivera, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

Manual Arts has already played their next match (against Los Angeles), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Diego Rivera will head out to challenge Dr. Maya Angelou Community at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Dr. Maya Angelou Community's defense has only allowed 26.5 points per game this season, so Diego Rivera's offense will have their work cut out for them.
