Football Game Preview: McCurdy Bobcats vs. Navajo Prep Eagles + How To Watch

The McCurdy Bobcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Navajo Prep Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. McCurdy's defense has only allowed 14 points per game this season, so Navajo Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them.

McCurdy played against Cuba on Thursday and lost via forfeit.

Navajo Prep is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 32 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Hozho Academy on Thursday. They and the Wolves were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered a 9-8 loss. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Navajo Prep didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Gracin Vigil and Luke Smith.

Navajo Prep's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for McCurdy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

McCurdy suffered a grim 54-30 defeat to Navajo Prep in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Bobcats, Xavier Nez (who threw for 300 yards and five touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 92 yards on only ten carries) won't be suiting up this time.
