On Wednesday Monadnock's undefeated season almost came to an end. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Conant Orioles. The four-run effort marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Monadnock's win bumped their record up to 17-0. As for Conant, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-7.

Monadnock will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Orioles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
