Clovis came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 59-58 W against the Central East Bengals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-47 back in January.

Central East's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leilah Haynes, who went 6-for-15 en route to 16 points and five assists. Savana Chase was another key player, shooting 71% from the field on her way to 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Clovis' victory bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Central East, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-9.

Clovis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central East, they will challenge Buchanan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
