Baseball Recap: Prestonsburg Blackcats vs. Belfry Pirates
Prestonsburg proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by seven) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Belfry Pirates, sneaking past 12-11. 12 seems to be a good number for the Blackcats as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Barrett Hunter made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Prestonsburg's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 10-21-1 when he doesn't).
Hunter wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sam Hyden, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
