Piedmont had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Guthrie Bluejays. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Piedmont's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Guthrie, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Piedmont wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-1 win against Norman on the 28th. As for Guthrie, they are taking a road trip to take on Bridge Creek at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
