Baseball Game Preview: Bathgate Bulldogs vs. A-Tech Panthers

The Bathgate Bulldogs will take on the A-Tech Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Bathgate sitting on 11 straight victories and A-Tech on three.

Bathgate proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by ten) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Bushwick. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Bulldogs have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but A-Tech ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Brooklyn Prospect, sneaking past 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since April 16th.

Justin Rivera made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Rivera was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Jovanny Frias was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five stolen bases, and three runs. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Fabian Ojeda-Maldonado was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

A-Tech's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Bathgate, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
