Baseball Recap: Rushville-Industry Takes a Loss

Rushville-Industry came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Brown County Hornets, falling 18-8. The Rockets have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Rylan Reimolds made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nathan Stambaugh, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Rushville-Industry's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Brown County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3-2 record this season.

Rushville-Industry will welcome West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Brown County, they are taking a road trip to take on Pittsfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
