Football Game Preview: Pine Island Panthers vs. Lake City Tigers

Pine Island and Lake City are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2015, but not for long. The Panthers will take on the Tigers on Saturday. Pine Island will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Pine Island's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 30-0 victory over Chatfield. Fans of the Panthers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Lake City had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on Plainview-Elgin-Millville with a sharp 34-14 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Pine Island's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Lake City, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Everything came up roses for Pine Island against Lake City in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as the squad secured a 47-6 win.
