Softball Recap: Campbell Takes a Loss

Campbell came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 16-5 to the Harrison Hoyas. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Hoyas recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Charlotte Keib was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Maiya Washington, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double.

Campbell's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-5. As for Harrison, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Coming up, Campbell will take on Buford at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harrison, they are taking a road trip to face off against East Paulding at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
