Basketball Recap: Catasauqua Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

On Tuesday, everything went the Catasauqua Rough Riders's way against the MAST Community Charter Panthers as the Catasauqua Rough Riders made off with a 58-34 victory. The Rough Riders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Loss or not, MAST Community Charter got some senior leadership from Rylie Fitzsimmons and McKenna Carpenter. Fitzsimmons dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards, while Carpenter posted eight points and seven rebounds. Fitzsimmons has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more rebounds the last 11 times she's played.

Catasauqua's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points over those games. As for MAST Community Charter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

Coming up, Catasauqua will venture away from home to square off against Notre Dame-Green Pond at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Notre Dame-Green Pond will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Catasauqua surely won't give up without a fight. MAST Community Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
